1959 Piper Tri-pacer. It is almost ready to fly. The man we bought it from lost his medical and could no longer fly it. It had been sitting for 5 years. We put a battery in it and it started right up. This is the way it looked when we first found it.

 

This is Dan Older my partner in the Tri-pacer. This was the day that we moved the plan to Carlsbad (Palomar Airport). It was based at a San Diego Airport. We got a ferry permit to move it. Dan O. was the only one who could fly it so I went and took pictures.

It started right up!

and took off!
